London Police Investigating Reported Sexual Assault in North End

LONDON, ON – May 29, 2026 — The London Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section is investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred early Thursday morning in the city’s north end.

According to police, a woman was out for a walk around 3 a.m. on May 29 when she was approached by an unknown man in the 300-block of Sarnia Road. Investigators say the suspect allegedly pulled the woman onto the front lawn of a nearby residence and sexually assaulted her.

The victim was able to contact police following the incident.

Officers responded to the area and searched for the suspect, who reportedly fled on foot before police arrived. The suspect was not located.

Police describe the suspect as:

  • White male
  • Between 40 and 60 years old
  • Approximately 5’6” to 5’8” tall
  • Average to heavy build
  • Facial hair
  • Wearing a cap, light blue T-shirt, and dark-coloured shorts

Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the area of Sarnia Road and Stirrup Court between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. to come forward. Police are also seeking residential or business surveillance footage, as well as dash-camera video that may assist with the investigation.

The investigation remains in its early stages, and police say additional information will be released when appropriate.

In a statement, the London Police Service emphasized its commitment to a trauma-informed and victim-centred approach to sexual assault investigations, adding that the safety of women and girls remains a priority.

Authorities also encouraged anyone affected by sexual violence to seek support through local community agencies and confidential services available in London.
